The Reverend Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick was born in Greenville, Florida to the late Mr. Kinsey
Thomas, Sr and served in the Korean War, and Mrs. Matilda Thomas. Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick has 12 siblings; and is happily married to Mr. Jewell Jerome Reddick and them together through marriage have nine children.

Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick graduated from Greenville High School and furthered her education at North Florida Junior College. Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick was accepted at Covenant Bible College and dual enrolled at Southwestern Christian University in Bethany, Oklahoma and received her double master’s degree.

Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick completed her 2-year internship in the Clinical Pastoral Education Program and was the first African American and first lady to be accepted in this program at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick then was accepted in the CPE Residency program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and received 2400 CPE Clinical Hours. Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick received training under Mr. Ben Carson who was candidacy for 2013 Presidential Election.

Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick received her Doctorate Degree while attending Johns Hopkins Hospital in Maryland and was part of the Johns Hopkins Gospel Choir while completing her CPE Residency.

Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick is presently a consultant for Franklin Academy and is the CEO of the Holistic Plan of Care where she provides Substance Abuse/Mental Health, Parenting, and Grief & Loss counseling. This program is governed and licensed by the Department of Children and Families.

Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick recently became accredited through CARF International and is Certified through the Florida Certification Board. Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick is an author and a gospel renown recording artist. Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick plays the piano (taught by one of our own Mrs. Ann Cobb) and she enjoys writing.

Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick recently wrote a House Bill for substance abuse 2018 Legislature. Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick oversees the Sheriff Hobbs “Behind the Badge” Foundation and will be awarding scholarships to students that participate in this essay writing.

Dr. Barbara Thomas-Reddick holds the position as a chaplain for the Capital City Democrat for Women in Tallahassee and President in Monticello, FL. But Most of all she loves the Lord and is an ordained pastor with the African Methodist Episcopal Church and is pastoring at Brim Fountain and Springhill AME Church.
